Jusgo Series: Reviewing Fujiissa- Matcha and Soft Serve

Continuing our Jusgo Series, I visited Fujiissa. I’ve seen it hyped so much when it first opened, but let’s see if it lives up to its praise. Matcha is not a new trend, and it is more than what its current social media obsession might suggest. It can be traced back to ancient China during… Read the rest

Jusgo Supermarket Series: Welcome to Penang Review

Somewhere hidden inside an unassuming supermarket is a food court packed with various delicious Asian foods. Best of all, it’s affordable. However, when I ask other people if they’ve tried it, even other foodies, the majority of them have never heard of it. So, I wanted to start my Jusgo Supermarket food court series, where… Read the rest

Reviewing Chubby Cattle BBQ’s Soft Opening

I recently checked out Chubby Cattle BBQ’s soft opening in Duluth, GA. I love their other restaurant, literally right across the street, that offers a Shabu. I will say, if you’re looking for a budget spot, turn back now. Chubby Cattle offers a premium experience with top-notch service. Read the rest

Is it Good or a Gimmick: Panda Fest

    Reviewing New Super Pho

With a population of nearly 75,000 Vietnamese folks, Georgia is covered in their fantastic cuisine. Especially in Duluth, it feels like there is always a great place around the corner. At worst (and why is it always in Atlanta), it’s still pretty decent. I’ve never had a bad meal at a Vietnamese spot, and it’s… Read the rest

Food is something I’ve taken for granted for a long time. I’ve had access to a wide variety of delicious meals—thanks partially to my bicultural background (Chinese and Italian) and my regular travels to New York to visit family. It wasn’t glamorous… we drove.

So, if you’re eating like you’re still on war rations, want to learn more about our area and what’s out there, or just want to make fun of trendy, overpriced restaurants, come along for the ride.

Likes: any braised meat (especially pork belly), fresh, raw seafood, high-quality cheeses, bold yet balanced flavors

Dislikes: “fast” Italian food (cheap cheese, horrible sauce), well-done steak, overly earthy, too heavy/not balanced
